„sweet“, German translation of Twelfth Night

First of all „Twelfth Night“ is in German NOT „Zwölftes Nacht“ which would be neutre , but „Zwölfte Nacht“ (feminine).
Secondly in Germany the play is called after the alternative title „What You Will“ = „Was ihr wollt“.

Well, „Zwölfte Nacht“ would do grammatically (the grammatical gender is here recognisable without the article by the „e“), but in the German Shakespeare tradtion we use always the alternative title „Was ihr wollt“ (What you will).
„Zwölfte Nacht“ is utterly unknown.

Das war mir schon klar, danke. Ich meinte nur, dass es ziemlich ungewöhnlich ist, auf eine “nackte” weibliche Form (nichts für ungut, einfach ohne Artikel oder Pronomen :wink:) zu stoßen.
