### Background
Was looking at “coupling”
Made my way to this part of the entry for “couple”
from Latin copula “tie, connection,” from PIE *ko-ap-, from *ko(m)- “together” + *ap- “to take, reach.”
Wanted to understand more about usages of *ap-
It wasn’t linked from that entry, so I searched and found the entires for ap- (1)
and ap- (2)
— but neither seem to jive with “to grasp, take, reach”
### Suggestions
Maybe the move is just to update one or both of the ap-
entries, so they’re more obviously in agreement with other references?
Another thought — and I suspect it’s more complicated than it seems — but I wonder if you have a way to batch link the existing static references for “ap” — because, naturally, that’d be real neat too!
Lastly — I’d be curious if there’s a case to connect it to the entry for apt which seem to have a more coherent representation of the meaning.
I guess there are a bunch of possible entries in that family of affix permutations… (was wondering about “apere” too) Probably tough to manage which to index on!
Thanks!
