Namaste 1967 mention - looking for source of claim

In the Namaste entry, it refers to 1967 being the year it was first attested as an expression. I’ve been trying to find more information about this, however it is proving difficult. I wonder if there is any way to trace the source? Thank you, Patrick.

The source for this date is likely the 2nd edition of the OED:

The latest edition contains a much earlier attestation, from 1885.
