Firman (missing word)

OED said it’s an edict from “oriental” sovereign, or a grant or permit.

Alternate spelling:
farman

Appeared in English 17th c, from Persian firmān
Sanskrit pramān.a (that n has a subdot), ‘right measure, authority, standard’

Since there are so many more uncommon words (such as firman) than common words, they are less likely to get covered in this dictionary. It really comes down to the judgement (and limitations) of Talia and Doug for the more niche stuff.
